2020 Election Results: Biden wins presidency

Former Vice President Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States, according to an 11:28 a.m. race call from the Associated Press on Nov. 7.

Former Vice President Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States, according to an 11:28 a.m. race call from the Associated Press on Nov. 7.

The race call comes after the AP declared Biden the winner in Pennsylvania, receiving the state’s 20 electoral votes. The Pennsylvania race call brings Biden past the 270 electoral vote threshold to 284 votes, giving him the presidency.

Less than an hour after the AP called Pennsylvania for Biden, the AP declared at 12:14 p.m. on Nov. 7 that Biden had also won Nevada and its six electoral votes, bringing Biden to 290 electoral votes.

President Donald Trump has won the state of Indiana, according to an 8:52 p.m. race call from the AP on Nov. 3.
