Indiana 2020 Election Results: Rokita wins attorney general race

U.S. House of Representatives Todd Rokita poses for his official portrait for the U.S. House of Representatives, where he served as the representative for Indiana’s 4th Congressional District from 2011-19.

Republican Todd Rokita has won the Indiana attorney general race, defeating Democratic candidate Jonathan Weinzapfel, according to the AP.

Weinzapfel has conceded the race to Rokita. In a statement, Weinzapfel congratulated Rokita on his victory and said that while his campaign is disappointed in the outcome, that he could not be more proud of their efforts and the issues they raised.

Indiana Republican Party Chairman Kyle Hupfer congratulated Rokita in a statement and said that Rokita will be a great attorney general for Indiana.

Earlier on Nov. 3, Rokita announced he had tested positive for COVID-19, according to RTV6. Rokita had developed some symptoms and planned to watch election results from his home, according to RTV6.
