UIndy to offer walk-in COVID-19 testing for campus community next week

Noah Crenshaw | Editor-In-Chief December 4, 2020

The University of Indianapolis will be providing an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to receive a COVID-19 AgCARD test on Dec. 11, Vice President for Student and Campus Affairs and Dean of Students Kory Vitangili said in an email to students faculty and staff on Dec. 4. The testing will take place in the former Facilities building that is now referred to as “The Barn,” which is located between Cory Bretz and Greyhound Village.

The walk-in hours will be from 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., according to Vitangeli’s email. Results of a presumptive positive test will be available one hour after the test is conducted and those who are getting tested will be contacted if they receive a presumptive positive test. For negative tests, an email will be sent later that evening, according to Vitangli’s email.

The COVID-19 AgCARD test is being provided through a partnership with the Indiana State Department of Health, according to Vitangeli’s email. The university previously offered testing for students, faculty and staff before they left for Thanksgiving Break in November. Those COVID-19 AgCARD tests were also provided by ISDH.

For more details, students, faculty and staff should check out this flyer that was provided to UIndy by ISDH. If anyone has any questions about the testing, they should contact Vitangeli at 317-523-1609.
