The University of Indianapolis discontinued the UIndy application and introduced a new My UIndy app over the summer. This app gives students access to campus resources, events, maps and other university resources.
A toolbar can be found on the app’s Dashboard, which includes Brightspace, UIndy Self-Service and Degree Works. As you continue to scroll down, you will see upcoming events and calendars for the 2026-2027 school year. Another new perk of the new My UIndy app is a digital ID card. You can use this digital campus ID to pick up books for classes, check out at the library and pick up packages from Esch Hall. However, the digital ID cannot be used for entering your residence building or to swipe for meals.
A page providing a detailed campus map can also be found in the new app, directing you anywhere you need to go on campus, such as parking, accessibility entrances, athletic facilities, student services, academic and administrative facilities, campus safety and dining. When you click the place you want to go, you can add your location or type the building you are coming from.
On the My UIndy app, you can join “Communities” such as “First Gen Students,” “Commuter Students” and more. The app has three categories: campus, resident and student communities. Joining these communities gives you details about events, and you can connect with other students who have joined the same community.
In your profile, you are given many options when it comes to customization. You can change your profile picture, add an “about me” section, list your education, share your hometown, list your hobbies and more.
If you are looking for extra resources, navigate to the “Tools” tab. This tab has dropdown menus for more information on admissions, campus life, course and degree materials, faculty and staff, finances, IT resources, library and student employment.
Any questions or troubleshooting with the My UIndy app can be directed to Information Technology, who can be reached at 317-788-3318, or found in room 050 in Schwitzer Student Center.
