10:09 p.m. ET: Todd Young speaks encouragement for Republican Party

Live from the Republican Watch Party, Promotional Manager of WICR 88.7 Drew Reinke said the Republicans have claimed three state offices, including State Auditor, Secretary of State and State Treasurer. Republican candidates Tera Klutz (candidate for State Auditor), Diego Morales (candidate for Secretary of State) and Daniel Elliott (candidate for State Treasurer) continue to hold their leads, with about 53% of votes counted.

Co-Executive Producer and Sports and Strategic Development Director of UINDY TV Nathaniel Finch, who is also live from the Watch Party, said Republican Todd Young spoke again for the Republican Party.

“Tonight is going to be a great night for the Republican Party, folks,” Young said. “We fought hard. We fought hard and all the way. Because we have never doubted, we have never wavered in our belief that in a free nation with free people, anything is possible. And our North Star has always been to bring along every Hoosier, every American. Because folks, I know all of you understand the only way to make America great again is from the ground up.”

9:49 p.m. ET: Democrats lead race for Marion County Prosecutor

As the night goes on, about 77% of the votes for Marion County Prosecutor have been counted, according to WTHR. Democratic incumbent Ryan Mears is leading the race with 59% of the vote and Republican candidate Cyndi Carrasco is falling behind with 41%.

UIndy History Professor Ted Frantz, who is acting as an election analyst for WICR 88.7 said, “I’m not really surprised, but I think the Republicans would have to be a little bit frustrated. This was the one seat the Republicans had to win if they wanted to show that they could be a viable presence within Marion County.”

9:07 p.m. ET: Results trickling in for Indiana U.S. House District 7

8:45 p.m. ET: Todd Young gives acceptance speech

Co-Executive Producer and Sports and Strategic Development Director of UINDY TV Nathaniel Finch at the Republican Watch Party said Republican Todd Young gave an acceptance speech for the Indiana United States Senate seat. Young has been declared the winner with a lead of 59.8%, despite about 31% of the total votes counted so far, according to IndyStar‘s live election coverage.

At the Democratic Watch Party, Democratic candidate Thomas McDermott gave his concession speech.

“Obviously, tonight didn’t work out the way that I thought it was going to,” McDermott said. “I wanted everyone to know that I called Senator Todd Young about five minutes ago, and I wished Todd Young well in the next six years leading the state of Indiana as U.S. Senator. And I mean it with all my heart; the better he does, the better our state does. So, I wanted to congratulate Todd Young for being here tonight, and I wish him well over the next six years.”

7:57 p.m. ET: Parties predicting winners early in race

With about 13% of votes counted for the State Auditor, Secretary of State and State Treasurer races, each of the Republican candidates continues to hold their leads, according to the IndyStar. IndyStar‘s live results show that the count for the United States House election is slow-going, as all 435 House seats are up for reelection, but the Senate Race results are beginning to come in. With 51 seats needed to control the Senate, the Democratic Party currently holds 37 seats, while the Republican Party holds 31 seats. At the moment, it looks like Republican Todd Young is in the lead to keep his seat in the Senate, with 63.4% of the votes. 7:22 p.m. ET: Looking at possible outcomes as votes come in

In the United States Senate race, Republican Todd Young is running for reelection as the incumbent. Currently, Young is leading the race with 61% of the vote, with about 6% of the vote counted, according to the IndyStar. For the United States House election, most of Marion County is a part of the 7th district, with Democratic Andre D. Carson, Libertarian Gavin Maple and Republican Angela Grabovsky as the candidates.

Votes have yet to be counted for the House election, but according to University of Indianapolis History Professor Ted Frantz, who is acting as an election analyst for WICR 88.7, a large part of this race is that a party that has been out of power will be trying to see if it can be relevant.
