Editor’s Note: This page was updated the University of Indianapolis’ COVID-19 tracking data throughout the Fall 2020 Semester.

See the Spring 2021 semester’s COVID-19 data.

New positive tests are only recorded once on the day in which they are reported to the university. For example, a new positive test that is reported on Aug. 31 will only appear for that day and will not appear as one of the positive tests on Sept. 1.

New instances of quarantine are only recorded on the day in which they are reported to the university. For example, a new instance of quarantine or self-isolation reported on Aug. 31 will only appear for that day and will not appear as one of the instances on Sept. 1.

The total number of individuals who have had to go into quarantine is determined by adding the number of quarantine or self-isolation reports from each day together.

Data from before classes began

Prior to the start of classes on Aug. 24, there were 46 positive tests out of 1,260 total tests that were conducted, according to an email from Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Neil Perdue on Aug 31.

There was also a total of 60 students who had used quarantine spaces provided by the university at a local hotel, according to Perdue’s email.
