Businesses looking to hire amidst COVID-19

With businesses being closed down due to stay-at-home orders as a result of COVID-19, more and more people are finding themselves unemployed. However, many businesses and companies are aiming to ramp up their employment rates over the next few months. 

Here is a list of places that are hiring right now.

Delivery

FedEx: The delivery company is in need of workers to fill package handler and parcel assistant positions. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to apply. Salaries typically start at $15 per hour. You will also be expected to view a virtual job preview before moving on with the hiring and application process. It is recommended that applicants have some level of experience in the area of work they’re applying for. If you would like to submit an application, click here. E-commerce

Amazon: The company is looking to hire warehouse, shopper and delivery driver positions. Applicants can begin work in as little as 7 days. Resumes are not required. You don’t need any work experience prior to being hired. A beginning salary starts at $17 an hour. If you are interested, click this link here to apply.

Food

Domino’s Pizza: Several positions are open to be filled. Specifically, delivery drivers and kitchen prep workers are in high demand. Domino’s is currently seeking hard workers who are able to work with others. Salaries vary depending upon the position but will range from 7 to $15 an hour. GrubHub: The popular food delivery company wants to hire many new employees across the country. In order to apply, you must be at least 19 years of age. As well as a valid driver’s license and two years of experienced driving. A new employee’s salary starts at $11 an hour. From application to actually being hired, applicants can start work in as little as three days.

Healthcare

American Senior Communities: Dietary aide, server, and housekeeping positions are available within the senior housing community. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Prior experience is not needed, but it may help. Entry-level positions salaries start at either 13 to 14. Applicants typically begin work within a week. If you want to apply, please click here.

Stores

CVS: CVS wants to hire both full-time and part-time employees within a wide array of jobs. Store managers, retail associates, and cashier positions are all up for grabs. The minimum age requirement to work at CVS is 16 years old. Also, the company is looking for people with previous experience in customer service. A starting salary begins at $11 an hour. Dollar General: A variety of positions are available, including positions for. Store managers, warehouse workers, and sales associate positions. You must be at least 18 years old to apply. The pay for these jobs typically ranges from $8 an hour. Click the link here if working with this company interests you. Applicants can start working anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks.

Kroger: The company is hiring new employees in a variety of jobs. Any position from cashiers, store associates, to baggers are wanted. Those that wish to apply for a position need to be at least 18 years old. A beginners salary at the store is $8 per hour. It is preferred that applicants have had previous work experience before they apply. From filling out the application to getting hired, you can start work in anywhere from seven to ten days.

Walmart: The grocery store chain is looking to hire many new employees at their stores and distribution centers, in Indiana. Every position from stockers to forklift operators are needed. People of all ages with varying kinds of experiences are encouraged to apply. They’re looking for people who are reliable, hard-working and have good communication skills. After submitting an application, and undergoing the interview process, you can start work in as quick as three days. Starting salaries begin at $17 per hour. Whole Foods: The open positions include stockers, cashiers, and in-store shoppers. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Integrity, product knowledge, and a good work ethic should all be present in those applying. An entry-level position salary will start at $10 an hour.
