Why Grizzly Bears Should Wear Underpants
The Oatmeal has killed it again. Fans of the webcomic and newcomers to his brand of humor will roll at his newest book, “Why Grizzly Bears Should Wear Underpants.” The Oatmeal, also known by his actual name Matthew Inman, has been described as the “Gary Larson of the Internet,” although his wit is much sassier and his humor much more scatological. In his 150 pages worth of laughs you can find comics about grizzlies in lingerie, the worst things about flying in an airplane, minor differences between young and old men in the locker room, and how shrimp are the Wonderbra of the sea. Some of the comics are a bit much and can bother someone who’s sensitive, but thankfully those are few compared to the many that made me roll out of my foofy chair in laughter and delight. In fact, I loved the book so much that I decided to buy it and give it to my father as a Christmas gift.
