Skyfall

Posted on 11.14.2012

Fifty years of Bond is celebrated in the newest film “Skyfall.” Witty and nostalgic, the movie balances the  perfect combination of new and old. Combining the simple gadgets of today and the well-loved toys of former movies, Bond continues on his perilous way to defend his home country, the United Kingdom. His relationship with M is tested, as her past comes to haunt her, and as always, new flames conveniently appear along the way. “Skyfall’s” typical Bond beginning, a mission followed by the title sequence, immediately got the audience hyped up for what was to follow.  The title sequence featured Adele and her newest single.  Overall, the movie was exciting and  enjoyable. It was novel enough to keep audiences intrigued, yet classic enough to ensure its place as a Bond film. Even with a few minor problems, “Skyfall” was generally the perfect movie recognizing 50 years of Bond.
