Posted on 09.29.2010

Have you ever wanted to read a book that combines elements of a love story, a psychological thriller, corruption, and financial intrigue? “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” by Stieg Larsson brilliantly combines all these elements to form one fantastic book.

“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” revolves around Harriet Vanger, a relative of one of Sweden’s richest families, who disappeared 40 years ago. All these years later, her aging uncle wants to solve this case. He does so by hiring journalist Michael Blomkvist, who was trapped by a libel conviction, to investigate the disappearance. Blomkvist is aided by the tattooed, pierced, and rebellious Lisbeth Salander, who is a computer hacker.

They find that the disappearance of Harriet Vanger is related to a series of gruesome murders, sending both Blomkvist and Salander deeper into the Vanger family. They learn that corruption, murder, mystery, and drama play a key role in solving this case. It is one of those books that will keep you entertained throughout and will not leave you disappointed.
