Review: Greek Fest & Irish Fest
September is a month of festivals for Indianapolis. Hundreds of people enjoyed world cuisine, music and traditional dancing at the Indy Greek and Irish Festivals, that all took place in early September here in Indianapolis.
Greekfest, which was held in an outdoor area near the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Carmel, was a chance for Indiana residents to experience the rich culture of Greece. The exceptional cuisine (dessert especially) gave patrons a chance to taste all the flavors of the Mediterranean without leaving the state!
Irishfest, held in Military Park downtown, was a spectacle of talented dancing and lively music. The crowd never seemed to disperse; The food, beverages and overall atmosphere provided attendees with an unforgettable night of culture, fun and entertainment.
Although entrance fees are a little high for poor college students, the fun, excitement and culture experiences these events offer are worth every penny.
