‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ • Movie
Who doesn’t love watching movies on a rainy Sunday? This past Sunday I had the chance to enjoy the movie “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” based of the best-selling children’s novel by Jeff Kinney. This movie follows a young boy’s life throughout his sixth grade year as he’s in the transition phase from grade school to middle school, which we all know can be the most awkward and uncomfortable phase in the process of growing up. It shows the experiences he wrote about in his diary. The movie outlined how big of a deal everything seems to be in middle school and what really is the important part of life. This movie was entertaining for the most part, however it did not seem to keep me captivated like other movies. It had a mixture of comedy with pre-teenager entertainment and embarrassment. This movie is definitely geared toward those in middle school and is a great idea if you need some bonding time with your younger siblings.
