“I titled my album Echo, since an echo describes a big, organic sound,” said Leona Lewis about her new release; and a big sound is what reverberates in her latest album “Echo.”

This CD has some upbeat pop/techno sounds such as “Outta’ My Head,” and “Lost Then Found” which features One Republic, as well as her usual beautiful thundering voice in “Broken,” and “Don’t Let Me Down,” featuring Justin Timberlake.  Most of the songs start out slow and then pick up speed, which is why “Outta’ My Head” stands out among all of the rest.  She really changed her style and this song is really one you can’t get out of your head.  “Happy,” her debut single, is currently number 68 on the Billboard Hot 100 since the album was released on Nov. 16.  Lewis gets props for stepping outside of the box and trying something new, but I feel that she didn’t carry it throughout the CD.  She should have incorporated more catchy tunes, although her beautiful voice will never expire.
