“To be honest, I’m a little disappointed about our results with the win/loss ratio so far with our team on the season,” said junior Jessica Breeden. “We are a very good team, so we should have more wins. But on a positive note, our team statistics are a lot higher this early in the season than last year.”

In the first game of the double header, UIndy kept Bellarmine from scoring throughout the game, winning 11-0.In the second game of the double header, the ‘Hounds wracked another win on their record. “We were disappointed [with the Florida’s competition series],” Frost-Fischer said. “We feel that we are better program than what we have shown, but we feel that things are getting better. ”
According to Frost-Fisher, the team’s lack of good combination was one reason that caused their losses in during the Rebel Spring Games.
“I just don’t think everything has come together yet,” Frost-Fischer said. “We need to have pitching, heading and defense all good combined at one.”
Frost-Fisher said the team had some positives during the series in Florida and they will keep getting better as the players continue to match together and practice.
Frost-Fischer said that she was not disappointed with the competition series in Florida, and that their two wins to Missouri S&T and the one win, one loss to Missouri-St. Louis records were more satisfactory.
“Our team just needs to work on finishing out plays,” Breeden said. “Instead of thinking about past mistakes in the game get over it, or the mistakes will keep accumulating.”
