Lord of the Rings: Conquest lets the player experience the epic battles of movie trilogy.
You can choose from four classes of warriors, each possessing special attributes, as you fight the forces of evil.
As a sadistic bonus, the evil campaign culminates in the player’s razing of the Shire as the Dark Lord Sauron himself!
Fans of the films will enjoy the game’s use of the movie’s sound effects and classical musical score, but the game is not perfect.
The single-player campaign is often repetitive, not allowing players to experience the wide variety the game offers. While there is a diversity of locations the player will traverse, each battle boils down to a basic capture-the-flag scenario.
But different classes complement each other, allowing for fun, cooperative play.
