Fit for a queen

Glamour, according to Katie Stam, is “that beauty that you feel on the inside; it’s that confidence, that radiance inside of you.” That confidence and radiance are what helped Stam clench the coveted Miss America crown. Of course, great fashion and chic dresses didn’t hurt her chances either.
For any woman about to serenade America, it is only fitting that she have the right dress. Standing center stage, in a white, spaghetti-strapped, sweetheart- top ball gown, with flowing train and intricate beading, Stam swept the hearts of the judges with a rendition of “Via Dolorosa.”
As Stacy and Clinton of “What Not to Wear” often remind us, it is always important to “dress for success,” especially for that big interview. Nothing says success like a mid-thigh, tiered, white dress and rhinestone-studded stilettos. America better think twice before trying to stump this future anchorwoman.
What shows a woman’s grace better than an elegant evening gown? Confidence and poise are easy to come by with this off-the-shoulder, white-lace evening gown with a brushed train. What also makes this gown perfect is that it accessorizes well, especially with a bouquet of red roses, a silky sash and a dazzling crown.
