On Jan. 20 Barack Obama stood in front of over one million people and officially became the next president of The United States. He used the same Bible President Lincoln used at his inauguration which proved as yet another symbol that our country is at a time of change and equality. Characteristically, Obama spoke with clarity, openness and a certain dignity that seems to grip any crowd’s attention. There was a small falter between Obama and Chief Justice John Roberts during the swearing in process, but other than that the course ran smoothly. President Obama gripped the global audience with his words of hope and plans to overcome the hardship our nation is collectively facing. The talent at the Inauguration ranged from Bruce Springsteen and U2’s Bono to Usher and were all equally impressive.
