A special thank you
To the Editor:
I wanted to take the opportunity to thank Katie Stam and the volunteer students from the University of Indianapolis for all of their hard work this past Saturday (Oct. 18). The help of cleaning and painting gave the facility a jump-start in our efforts to update the décor of resident rooms and common areas in the facility. It is something that we have been getting ready to start but their efforts gave us a big leap forward.
The facility is totally redecorating the common areas, hallways and resident rooms. With the help of painting hallways, we are not able to start putting up new cove base and put up new artwork. Within the next couple weeks, the main lobby and dining rooms will be completely redecorated as well. Our maintenance staff has begun the arduous task of repainting and redecorating resident rooms. On completion, the décor update will give our residents a much more pleasant environment to live in.
Please pass along to each volunteer student our sincere thanks. The volunteer hours that they put in will greatly enhance the quality of life for many in our society that cannot do for themselves. Please thank each of the students and I apologize if I misspelled any names or forgot someone who helped:
Abby Tomamichel, Lauren Edwards, Morgan Marsche, Abbi Schechner, Ashtin Hoverman, Krysta Jordan, Katelin Casselman, Sarah Konkey, Megan Gardner, Kayla Rider, Jen Ripperger, Jerri Ford, Lindsey Kellow, Lindsey Campbell, Ali Able, Ashley Thomas, Lyndsey McCubbin, Kaitlin Sandlin, Christina Humphrey, Anna Glowinski and Ryan Creswell.
We hope that you and the students of the University of Indianapolis take great pride in your service to the people of our community. The pride is well earned and deserved.
Sincerely,
