The Reflector sat down with President Beverley Pitts and asked her questions concerning the recent University of Indianapolis hacker attack. Due to FBI investigations and security measures, Pitts was limited on her ability to answer our questions.

Q: What encouraging words can you give students and faculty?
A: “There were a couple positive things: we identified what happened, we redoubled over our security issues and reviewed all the files to be sure.”

Q: How do you feel personally about the attack?
A: “My personal information has never really been the focus of my thinking. I will certainly keep an eye out, but I am not overly concerned that my personal data has been revealed in any way.”

Q: How do you feel students should react to this attack?
A: “That is hard to say I think everyone should react according to their own circumstances.”

Q: Is there any additional information you would like to add?
A: “We are not alone when referring to these types of attacks. There are many other colleges going through the same types of situations.”
